Conveyancing for buyers and sellers

If you are buying or selling a home you will need to ensure that the legal transfer of property ownership (this is called conveyancing) is managed by a professional property lawyer.

You know this can be daunting thought but FMB can help you by providing a friendly and experienced solicitor that has years of experience in dealing with purchases and sales. They will guide you through the sale process to ensure a smooth transaction and will be with you every step of the way.

Good solicitors shouldn't cost the earth and they will provide you with FREE no obligation quote prior to any work being carried out.

Do I Need to use a solicitor you recommend?

The simple answer to this is no, you can use any solicitor you wish (if purchasing in scotland you must use a solicitor in Scotland) to carry out the legalities.

A lot of people don't want to waste time sourcing numerous solicitors for quotes or to check their credentials, that's why we only use solicitors that have a proven track record of giving clients the service they deserve.

How much will it cost?

Conveyancing should not cost the earth but you also want to ensure you get the service you deserve.  A lot of "cheap" conveyancing solicitors actually have a lot of paralegals carrying out a majority of the work or you may find it difficult to get a hold of the solicitor that is handling you case, all if a sudden the cheapest no longer seems attractive if you are not kept up to date with your sale or purchase transaction.

We like to think that the solicitors we recommend are competitive but dont sacrifice quality in service and they will give you a quote before you decide to go ahead.

We also provide a case tracking service on your FMB account for the solicitors to keep you up to date as and when required in which you can access this 24/7.

Case Tracking Your Sale & Purchase

Our dedicated solicitors will keep you up to date through your own FMB account of how your transaction is progressing.  These updates will be in real time so as soon as your solicitor has submited your update this will be in your FMB account with an email notification directly to you asking you to check your FMB Account.

This means you can access all your activity from your FMB account giving you more control and information on the go.
